Visionaries Of Digital

There have been many different visionaries involved in the process of digitization. Some of them are more well known while others have more faded into the shadows. I want through this blog post to show off many of the different influential figures who have shaped the digital world that we know today.

One of the main people who has had a huge impact on the major digital world is inventors such as Alexander Graham Bell. This man invented what has now become one of civilizations most prized possesions that can fit into your pocket. This is known as the telephone and it was the building block for what is now refered to as the cell phone. This technology originated from 1876 and was not nearly as developed as it is now as sound struggled to travel through this device and often distorted voices based on how far the signal came from. This device using analog technology was later improved into digital tech with cell phones.

One figure who is directly involved with digital machinery is known as Jeff Hinton. Around the 1970’s he was involved directly in the founding of digital neural networks, pionerring the system for generations to come. Becoming a symbol of generative AI he had assistants who helped to work under him and promote more improved AI. His assistant Ilya Sutskever became a chief scientist for open AI and helped to develop some AI software such as Sora, an AI often used today.

Figures like Jeff Hinton and Alexander Graham Bell paved the way for digital creations and inspired many future generations to participate in developing AI further. We need people like this to steer AI in a positive direction to use it more for improving humanitarian conditions across the planet and maybe working toward environmental improvment. One major method of AI development is for weather prediction and something like this could revolutionize our ability to make the planet sustainable. Overall, we need people in the AI space who will promote doing more good with AI to improve the world around us.
